Obedience Foundation Level 3

6 weeks, running Mondays starting March 11, 2024 at 8:00 pm
(No class Easter Monday – April 1)

This class will help to grow and build your skills as a handler while proofing your dog’s skills learned in previous levels. You will also be introduced to some of the more formal obedience exercises while working through distractions. This class will help to build a well-trained pet and help transition into any other dog sport environment.

PREREQUISITES: Obedience Foundation Level 2

Agility – Level 3

6 weeks, running Fridays starting March 15, 2023 at 8:00pm.
(No class Easter weekend – March 29)

Agility Level 3 is a continuation of our Level 2 Agility. This class is off leash, so you must be able to keep your dog under control at all times. Handlers will be introduced to more advanced handling skills, obstacle discrimination and expanding on distance work introduced in Level 2.

PREREQUISITES: KAOS “Agility – Level 2” or recommendation of a KAOS agility instructor

Obedience Foundation Level 2

6 weeks, running:

  • Wednesdays starting March 13, 2024 at 8:00pm
  • Sundays starting March 17, 2024 at 11:30am
    (No class Easter weekend – March 31)

This class is a continuation of Level 1 Obedience, increasing distance, duration, and distractions while expanding and strengthening the skills learned in Level 1. We will also work on refining the heeling exercise, team bonding through games and tricks, and simulating real world scenarios for a well mannered pet.

Puppy Sport Foundation Skills

6 weeks, running Tuesdays starting March 12, 2024 at 6:00pm .

This class will focus on teach the handler and puppy foundation skills that will serve you well no matter what dog sport you end up doing. We will introduce you to games, skills, drills and more that build the handler/dog teammate relationship, focus, impulse control, brain games, intro to obedience, recalls, handling, obstacle familiarization and much more. You and your puppy will do activities with the whole class and also have the opportunity to have one on one floor time too. We also crate train our puppies, essential for any sport dog and is an essential life skill too. This class is meant to be repeated with fresh classes, that build upon each other week to week, over several sessions. You register for each 6 week session as usual.

PREREQUISITES: 8 weeks to 1 year old. Must bring a crate and be willing to crate train.

Agility Games

6 weeks, running Saturdays starting March 16, 2024 at 1:00pm.

Come and have some fun with your agility dog! Learn some new games each week
and have fun while refining your dog’s agility skills. Some of the games that you
will learn and play are Gamblers, Snooker, Points & Distance and Jumpers.

PREREQUISITES: Level 3 Agility and the ability to run a full course off leash

Puppy Primer

6 weeks, running Mondays starting March 11, 2024 at 6:30pm
(No class Easter Monday – April 1)

Come have fun with your puppy! You and your puppy will have fun learning focus games, a good recall, and some every day life skills. Learn how to train new skills, in short, game-based, and reward-based training sessions. Puppies will also learn how to interact with some training equipment, such as a small tunnel, a contact trainer, and wobble boards to promote confidence for both family pets and future dogsport athletes. This class is a great all types of puppies as it will help build a solid foundation for a well-round pet.

PREREQUISITES: Puppies must be under 6 months of age at the start of the class.

Advanced Agility Fun Runs

5 weeks, running Fridays starting March 15, 2024 at 6:15pm.
(No class Easter weekend – March 29)

Come join us for some agility fun! This class is designed for those who have some experience in running agility courses already. We’ll set up different courses for you to try out each week to help you achieve your agility goals. Dogs must be able to work off leash and run an agility course.

PREREQUISITES: Must have “Agility – Level 3” (or equivalent), some ‘run’ experience AND the ability to string together a full course of obstacles.

Agility – Level 2

6 weeks, running Thursdays starting March 14, 2024 at 8:00pm.

Agility Level 2 is a continuation from our Level 1 class. Previously learned skills
will be refined and more of the agility equipment will be introduced. Handlers will
learn how to improve and expand on their handling skills and be introduced to
some basic sequences. This class will be a combination of both on and off leash
work, so your dog must have a good understanding of basic obedience such as
sit, down, stay and a good recall.

Agility Foundation 2 Working Group (FULL)

Class runs continuously. 

These students have progressed through several levels of both obedience and agility classes to join this working group and are referred by our instructors. We use concept based training and focus on building foundation skills for both the dog and handler. The focus is on drills, grids, course map reading, handling, sequencing, full course work and goal building. This working group is meant for those are ready compete or have been competing for some time now.
